GirlsMatter - Poem
Without the Women
Without women in the world, the earth would not be able to go round,
If we were deprived of women, nothing would be capable of making a sound,
Excluding all females, we would all be deranged and depraved,
If there were no ladies, poor soldiers would not be saved.
If females were excluded from the beginning of time,
There would be much poverty, our souls drenched in grime.
If Mother Theresa didn’t help the poor and block discrimination,
We would have much sorrow and a great deal of alliteration,
If Harriet Tubman was not strong, faced her fears, and was not brave,
There would be no freedom; the world would be filled with slaves,
Without Betsy Ross, our land of free would be a drag,
Why? Because we would be deprived of our very own flag.
Even in the future for women, life is not fair,
Without us women, existing would be filled with despair.
All around the world, every female is known,
To fight for our rights until equality is shown.
Women everywhere, to show our individuality we are proud,
To be a woman, I am definitely proud.
