Sounds of the Heart

GirlsMatter - Poem

Within Women

Besides the blood that rushes in a woman’s veins.
There lies a soul and plenty of brains.
Beneath a female’s multicolored skins,
Is a beating heart that isn’t made of tin.
Within the eyes is a woman’s fire,
To fill and content her heart’s desire.
Inside the core of a meek girl’s feet and toes,
The pitter-patter of business grows.
The unique voice of a strong woman’s words,
Encourages young voices of girls to surge.
Females are priceless, excluding any cost,
Without women, the world would surely be lost!

Dedicated to all the strong women in my loving family.
